Adventurous, Determined, Innovative, Diligent, and Sincere.

These values are my Adidas. It is not only how I view this brand, but how I relate. Adidas is adventurous, pushing athletes of all levels to push towards their passion. I dare to follow my passions of travel and trying new things. Below is a video of me ziplining for the first time in the Swiss Alps. I was terrified as a thunderstorm moved in over my head, but I was determined and jumped off the platform, zipping towards the other side. In my Adidas shirt. I continued the ropes courses, balancing on wires, jumping from one tree branch to another, and finding innovative ways to get through small metal obstacles (a feat for someone almost six feet tall). Yet I pushed through any doubt or fear I had and finished my ropes circuit in a hail storm, soaked and freezing, but unbelievably proud of my achievement.

“Impossible is Nothing” is a mindset, a possibility, an attitude, an affirmation, a goal. It is striving to be my best self, no matter the obstacles. I have a hormonal disorder which has created many hurdles that I have learned to overcome. While there is no cure, maintaining a healthy lifestyle has made it manageable by changing my diet, maintaining balance, and staying active. In moments of adversity, it may seem as if nothing is possible; but setting goals, continuing with regiments, and overcoming my past obstacles has altered my mindset. Possibilities are endless as impossible is truly nothing.

Growing up on a small island, environmentalism has always been on the forefront of my brain. I was taught from a young age the implications of what improper recycling will do to landfills, how littering directly affects our natural wildlife, and that carpooling to reduce gas emissions will improve the health of our salmon streams. Our actions have an effect on others. Plastic, specifically microplastics, are harming the planet in an unprecedented way and winding up in the food we eat. I was moved by Adidas’ plastic campaign to clean beaches by using recycled bottles in Boost shoes, so much so that I bought a pair. I am passionate about finding sustainable ways to live in the 21st century, while working for a team invested in the welfare of their employees, consumers, and environment. Innovation is pushing the globe to be a better place, and I want to work for a company that embodies this.

I want to make a difference in the world by creating campaigns and marketing plans that will come to life visually while bringing important issues of sustainability and equality to attention.

I’m Madelyn, an aspiring global marketer excited for new possibilities. Here is me on one of my travels hiking in the Swiss Alps.
This is beautiful Bainbridge Island, my home just off of Seattle where I discovered my passion for protecting the environment.
I am most likely to be found studying at the University of Washington’s Suzzallo library with a coffee to start my day. Some of my favorite classes I have taken so far have been the psychology of happiness and financial accounting-surprisingly.
I went on a study abroad to Rome last spring and had the time of a lifetime attending lectures in the Colosseum, meeting new people, and traveling across Italy.
One of my hobbies I picked up during the Pandemic is cooking. I love making flavorful, balanced meals and view food as the perfect facilitator to bring friends and family together. I am also a foodie and enjoy trying new foods and restaurants of different cuisines and cultures.
This is a photo of my family in Berlin. My Mother lived there as the wall came down, and has been my inspiration in life and for all things German.

Thank you for considering me for the internship.
